Hawaii Photo Journal: North Shore

Life is a Beach.

Last week, Bryan and I celebrated our anniversary in the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii!!  Hawaii has been a favorite destination of ours, and this trip was truly a special one.

We spent the first four nights at Turtle Bay Resort, located in the North Shore, or the northern part of Oahu.  A little over an hour away from the island’s “city” life, the North Shore has miles upon miles of almost-deserted white sandy beaches, crystal clear turquoise waters, and massive winter waves that attract some of the world’s top surfers annually.

Although Turtle Bay is a private resort, all beaches in Hawaii are state owned, and thus accessible to the public.  I’ve visited Turtle Bay Beach before on a previous trip, but to actually stay at the resort and indulge in all of its incredible amenities has been an unforgettable dream vacation come true.

{ Side note:  Has anybody seen the movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall?  A lot of the movie took place at Turtle Bay! }
