I don’t think I can emphasize more on here how terrible of a packer I am. Then again, this trip came right after two previous ones, and I’m pretty sure my brain just about had it with keeping track of the underwear count, refilling the toiletries, and as for Hawaii, remembering to pack flip flops and a beach bag.  (And probably a few other beach essentials too.)  But I did remember to bring two pairs of heels and a bag full of jewelry that stayed packed up throughout the trip.

There’s something about vacations that make me want to extra- dress up and accessorize, and I forget to factor in exactly where I’m going.  Hawaii style reflects the island’s laid back atmosphere and all-year-round tropical 80 degree weather.  So in the end, I wore heels once to dinner, and flip flops would have definitely worked out so much better in beach hikes and bike rides.  (RIP pretty gold sandals.)

Packing, I will conquer you one day.
