Bryan and I are engaged!!
Lately I’ve been thinking about how to exactly break the news on here– whether to save it as the finale to my Hawaii Journals, and whether or not I should go into personal details. But after endless celebrations, and numerous retold stories of our trip and the proposal to family and friends, what’s another blog post about it?
These photos were taken on our second night in Turtle Bay. Bryan and I headed out to dinner a little early to take some photos and catch a little sunset. Surprisingly, Bryan wanted his own pictures taken– which never happens. So I took advantage of his sudden “spontaneity”, clicking away on the camera and teasing him on to pose in certain ways. After he looked over some of the pictures, he asked for one more shot. What about this pose? …As Bryan playfully goes down on one knee, and I’m waiting (impatiently) for this final shot. Annoyed at the very unfunny/sensitive joke, I slapped back a.. HA-HA, that’s-seriously-not-even-funny-right-now eye roll. Then a shiny little red box appeared, followed by a sparkly gorgeous ring, a 2-minute silent-shock period, the expected waterworks, and a YES of course.

Congratulations!! My husband and I got married on Maui in June so Hawaii also holds a special place in our hearts. Loved reading your post with pictures from your trip! I’ve also done a couple posts from mine and it makes me miss the islands :)
