One of my co-workers gifted me with this amazing wedding organizer by Karen Bussen. For years, I’ve daydreamed of this magical day, wearing the perfect white dress, seeing Mr. Prince Charming down at the end of the aisle, and my fabulous girlfriends all in colorful dresses standing right beside me. But the fantasies always stop there. So the reality check of vendors, timelines, budgets, color schemes and themes, invitations, flowers, centerpieces… & the list goes on, slapped me hard in the face. Where to begin?
It took a week or so of flipping through this binder and simultaneously freaking out for all the excitement to finally settle back in. I love that this organizer is filled with not only planning/organizational tools, but valuable wedding advice and insight as well. It’s become my personal 24/7 wedding planner. Just a few blurred snapshots of my favorite pages– I have to keep some things a mystery still :)
A thorough to-do list that’s broken down into long-term, medium-term, and short-term goals.
I’ve always been OBSESSED with planners. Yes, even with modern technology, you can find a big planner and a personal journal in my purse. Call me old school, but my brain just functions better when things are physically jotted down on paper. So of course these blank calendar sheets became an instant favorite.
Budget spreadsheets that break down estimate, deposits, and final costs.
Storage pockets to hold receipts, important contracts, and business cards.
And my absolute favorite section with all of the fun stuff: the Design Workshop. Filled with blank “inspiration” pages that allow for cutting and pasting or drawing design ideas.
More coming soon!
